We are delighted to welcome Kobus Nel as the Managing Director at Consumer Profile Bureau (PTY) Ltd. Kobus brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience and we are very excited to have him join the CPB team.
Kobus has more than 15 years’ experience across various sectors across the credit management and debt recovery landscape. Together with his exposure to credit consulting in the Financial Services industries, we know he will play an invaluable role within the company and for our clients.
When asked about his attraction to CPB (Pty) Ltd, Kobus emphasised his passion for data and his vision to optimise this for the industry. By utilising data more accurately, Kobus believes, you can further promote credit-health within South Africa, and at the same time optimise credit / collections processes.
CPB (Pty) Ltd, like Kobus, is passionate about data and looks forward to incorporating his, “Data with a difference!” approach. With a growing popularity of Artificial Intelligence, we are now positioned to offer AI-enabled smart solutions for our clients.
Prior to joining CPB (Pty) Ltd, Kobus held the position as Chief Operating Officer at Norton-Lambrianos Attorneys. Additional positions previously held included Director at the Institute of Credit Management South Africa, National Accounts Executive (MBD) and National Accounts Executive (CSM). These roles supplied the opportunity in providing great solutions, and services, to the credit fraternity within South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Uganda and the UK.
Furthermore, in his spare time, he lectured at the University of Johannesburg campus for CSM by facilitating the Institute of Credit Management Courses (ICM), both the Certificates (Level I-III) and Advanced Certificate in Credit Management (Level IV).
Kobus looks forward in being part of the CPB team that is revolutionising the credit and debt recovery industry. Artificial intelligence (AI), which incorporates machine-learning algorithms, will aid Kobus in his vision to promote improved, unbiased, and consistent decision-making, within the entire credit-life cycle.
