South Africans living abroad granted right to voteThe Pretoria High Court has ruled that South Africans living abroad have the right to vote. The court declared certain sections of the Electoral Act invalid. Section 33 of the act prohibits some South Africans from casting their ballots overseas while others are allowed. |

The National Credit Regulator has urged consumers to think twice before borrowing given steep interest rates, record levels of indebtedness and soaring inflation. "Consumers are advised to borrow money responsibly and wisely, especially at this time of the year," says Peter Setou, senior manager: education and strategy at the NCR. "Many consumers are desperate for financial assistance and may take out loans recklessly. |
